Ingenious use of technology sets Sirqus Alfon’s show apart from other circus performances as audience interaction is not only part of the show but of genuine value to it.

The message the show spreads is one of love and inclusion, in the hope that if the Swedish trio make us yell, “I am somebody” loud enough and for long enough, we’ll all believe it. While some interactions at first feel awkward, the troupe's enthusiasm is so infectious that it’s difficult not to have fun watching and responding to them.

The show gets steadily better, beginning with an unoriginal video game recreation but building to a hilarious end sequence parodying circus itself. Bizarre comedy sketches are dotted throughout that make absolutely no sense but which draw a lot of laughter, the audience seemingly embracing the trio’s madness in all its glory.

In the company’s clever use of automated live video technology, our contributions are used to create new parts of the show. It's a creative way to prevent interaction from feeling forced as they create new content with the way that we interact, making us feel like we’ve contributed far more than we have.

By including its audience in unique ways, and with spectacular use of lasers, umbrellas and video technology, this Swedish circus group create a buzzing 45-minute show that makes very little sense but that leaves everyone with smiles on their faces.
