Parallel Memories opens with our two performers mapping out the stage in chalk and white tape. They scrawl "The end of the World: Part 1" and "London" onto the floor. And then they begin.

Unfortunately, an interesting premise quickly gives way to some rather unimpressive dance and physical theatre. With no sense of narrative, any real rhythm, no captivating soundtrack or anything genuinely inspiring, it's a rather messy and insipid piece. Nor is it of much value to anyone unschooled in the language of experimental dance.
