Sparkling with witty banter and shots of Caribbean Twist, Sara Cocker, Lowri Evans and Léonie Higgins plunge us into the depths of a Really Good Night. We are all required, but our participation is made easy. After all, who needs encouragment to indulge in plastic cups of wine, whoop praise for an exuberant dancer or sing along to Petula Clarke? Eggs Collective joyfully take us into their arms, then tenderley open their hearts to the 3am truths beyond face lacquer and consumerism.

A cheeky hostess style of welcome belies the depths this show reaches as it lays a culture of alcohol-fuelled escapism under a microscope. Bottles of booze and counterweighting microphones dangle from the ceiling, pulled into use to recast an R. Kelly classic as a delicate ballad or to amplify the echo chamber of a political sick bucket. The pervasive societal illness behind the binge-drinking is given a spotlight of its own and, in doing so, shows the much-maligned millennial generation as deeply caring and idealistic in a world gone down the toilet. What's left of the world if you can't inject a little fun and beauty, right?

The language is everyday girlfriend accessible, even during an impressive extended hashtag rant that flashes the Manchester collective's smart live art credentials. Teary eyes glitter as much as the trio's gold mini dresses and generous smiles, and the love-filled show leaves us both shaken and stirred.
