Fun, unpredictable comedy kaleidoscope, Baby Wants Candy, is colourful and entertaining improvised musical comedy theatre with live music and a completely different show every night.

Consisting of a four-piece band and an improv team of seven, this isn't a small scale show. The premise is simple: at the start of the evening the audience shouts out the name of a made up musical and the team put it on right there and then. Prepare for an hour of delightfully silly singing and dancing and brilliantly creative nonsense.

The fun comes mostly from the performers putting each other on the spot. It is obvious that they take great delight in doing this and the wry looks between them as they sing their way into and out of trouble are fantastic.

The band's ability to constantly co-ordinate their playing with the action on stage is mightily impressive; they have clearly performed together a lot and the whole show comes across like a taut, pre-rehearsed musical.

The only let down, if there is one, is the lyrics to the songs. They aren't as slick as they could be, although they do get big laughs. At least we are guaranteed that they are not rehearsed at all beforehand.

Action packed and full of laughs from the outset, this is an experienced musical improvisation team doing what they do best. Toe-tapping stuff.
