Based on the long-running West End adaptation of the play by Frederick Knott, Wait Until Dark is the gripping story of a blind housewife who does battle with a gang of conmen.
Performed admirably by the student cast of Oxford University’s Blind Spot theatre group, this production faithfully recreates the nail-biting suspense of the source material. Charlotte Mulliner makes for a particularly compelling protagonist, whose gentle strength of character and profound vulnerability are portrayed almost perfectly.
With the exception of a rather sloppily executed climax, this is a solid, engaging production from a talented amateur group.
