In this modern re-telling of Cervantes’ Don Quixote, Korean group Creative VaQi make use of an Old Town courtyard to tell the story of a man living in a dull, monochrome world whose lust for life is reawakened by his faithful servant, Sancho, who visits him in his dreams.

Some sequences are undermined slightly by an unsubtle use of overblown trance and electronic music that seems unnecessary when the spectacle itself is so efficient in conveying progression through dreams. But this is an innovative and arresting show that uses its setting to remarkable effect.
