Taking his stage name from an article in an '80s video game magazine, Essex singer-songwriter Sam Duckworth's unconventional guitar and laptop-based take on folk music helped revive the critic-beloved non-genre 'folktronica'.

His unusual electroacoustic arrangements earned him a major label record deal and a silver-certified debut album in 2006, all by the age of 20. A successful second album two years later (featuring a cameo from then-rising indie starlet Kate Nash) further boosted Get Cape...'s profile, though his relentless anti-racist activism on behalf of the Love Music Hate Racism campaign probably hasn't hurt either.
