Matt Green would like to sit you down and tell you all the embarrassing things that’ve happened to him. It’s a textbook setup for a standup routine, and by the end of the hour, you really feel as if you know the candid Mr Green. Unfortunately, he doesn’t manage to tack much of a punchline onto his pleasant, fairly run-of-the-mill anecdotes. In fact, the biggest laughs were the work of an audience member, Frenchman Gaetan. The first was at the mention of his name (pronounced Gay-tahn). The second was when he said, in an impeccable Inspector Clouseau accent, “Paris is ze sheet ‘ole of France”.
