Jarlath Regan may be the most likeable man at the Fringe. This is apparent within seconds of his stage entrance, following a tongue-in-cheek intro video composed of footage of roaring crowds and screaming fans, always with Regan's face sloppily edited onto every star in frame. His mild-mannered kindness and self-depricating charm make for one of the lightest, cuddliest forty-five minutes you'll find at the Gilded Balloon. However, engaging comedy this does not make.

Regan's anecdotes primarily focus on relationships, particularly his marriage, but sadly the material come across as tired and sitcom-ish. He addresses the difficulty of looking serious whilst eating crisps, the surliness of Irish cab-drivers, and shares highlights of the church marriage course he was required to take during his engagement. The audience is clearly enamoured with him personally, but his material fails to leave any lasting impact.
