Although Adam and Phil are a pair who play on being a hapless double-act, it’s tempting to think this show would be more aptly named 'Contains Mild Humour'. Their approaches, although different, are both rather childlike.

Adam Mitchell relies on balloons, plastic instruments, imaginary card tricks and the good nature of the audience to bolster his set. Phil O'Shea's ingenious drawings complement his quirky and deceptively cerebral humour.

The pace is more meandering than punchy and the comic potential of much of their material is not fully exploited. Adam and Phil perhaps need to err more on the side of quiet ambition, rather than their innocuous and unassuming approach.
